The Mine Action and Cluster Munitions Programme 2025-2030 (MACM III) is a major grant initiative by the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Its goal is to create safer environments in conflict-affected countries by clearing landmines, cluster munitions, and other explosive remnants of war. The programme funds a range of activities, including mapping and clearing contamination, destroying stockpiles, risk education, victim assistance, and strengthening local and national capacity for mine action. The programme also supports the humanitarian-development-peace nexus by enabling agricultural recovery and infrastructure rehabilitation, and by facilitating the safe return of internally displaced persons.
Projects must target one or more of the following eight countries: Iraq, Lebanon, Libya, Somalia, South Sudan, Syria, Ukraine, and Yemen.
