Description
The Missouri Veterans and Job Opportunity Grant Program incentivizes Missouri employers to hire individuals from federally defined targeted groups, especially qualified veterans facing significant barriers to employment. Employers who have claimed the federal Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) for hiring eligible individuals can apply for a state grant that reimburses a percentage of their WOTC. At least half of the program’s annual funds are reserved for employers hiring qualified veterans; any remaining funds are available for other targeted groups as defined by federal law.
