Description
The Public Diplomacy Section of the U.S. Embassy Muscat announces an open competition for projects that advance U.S. foreign policy priorities in Oman and reinforce the bilateral partnership between the United States and the Sultanate of Oman. This annual program statement (APS) outlines strategic funding priorities, eligibility, and application guidelines for the Public Diplomacy Small Grants Program. Projects must clearly support U.S. public diplomacy goals, showcase American excellence, expertise, and values, and include a strong U.S. element (such as engagement with U.S. experts, institutions, or models).
Priority program areas include:
- Advancing U.S.-Oman commercial ties and shared prosperity
- Strengthening sports diplomacy, youth leadership, and major-event expertise
- Showcasing American excellence in culture, heritage, and creative industries (including programs marking the 250th anniversary of the U.S.)
- Advancing emerging technologies, space cooperation, and innovation
Competitive proposals should demonstrate practical impact, mutual benefit, and sustainability, and may target a range of audiences including students, professionals, entrepreneurs, artists, and civil society organizations.
