--- ## Description The Nanomanufacturing (NM) program supported fundamental research aimed at advancing the manufacturing of nanoscale materials, structures, devices, and systems. The program focused on developing new nanomanufacturing methods, including both batch and continuous processes, and integrating top-down and bottom-up approaches. Key research themes included scalability, customizability, sustainability, efficiency, controllability, and yield in nanomanufacturing, especially for integrated systems. The program encouraged: - Model-based experimental verification and process validation. - Research in nanomanufacturing tools and unit processes, including metrology and process control. - Collaborative proposals, including partnerships between academic institutions and nanomanufacturing organizations. - Larger-scale, longer-duration projects not feasible as a series of smaller efforts or by a single PI.
