Description
This Department of Education grant opportunity funds the establishment and operation of a National Assessment Center dedicated to improving the participation and performance of children with disabilities in state and districtwide assessments. The Center will provide technical assistance, support model demonstration projects, disseminate information, and implement activities grounded in scientifically based research, in alignment with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). The program aims to promote academic achievement and ensure that all children with disabilities are included in general and alternate assessments, with appropriate accommodations, as required by law.
