Description
The Administration for Children and Families (ACF), Office of Head Start (OHS) is offering a competitive cooperative agreement to operate a National Center on Parent, Family, and Community Engagement (NC PFCE). The Center will provide research-informed training and technical assistance (TTA) to Head Start and Early Head Start programs nationwide, with the goal of strengthening professional development for staff and improving outcomes for children and families.
The NC PFCE will:
- Enhance family outreach, recruitment, and retention.
- Increase access to services that improve family well-being, including safety, health, and economic mobility.
- Expand family engagement in children's learning and development.
- Improve program outcomes related to parent, family, and community engagement.
- Foster community partnerships that support program, community, and family outcomes.
The grantee is expected to assemble a team of expert subrecipients or partners with demonstrated experience in human services, early childhood family engagement, social work, mental health, parenting, family leadership, diversity, and economic mobility.
The NC PFCE will join three other National Centers as part of the OHS Training and Technical Assistance System.
