Description
This grant opportunity, offered by the U.S. Mission to Indonesia, aims to enhance the capacity of Indonesian journalists in disaster-prone regions to report on natural disasters safely, accurately, and ethically. The program will train at least 150 journalists from print, broadcast, and digital media, focusing on crisis communication, safety protocols, fact-checking, digital verification, and coordination with emergency officials. The initiative is designed to strengthen public trust, improve the reliability of information during emergencies, and build a cohort of disaster-ready journalists who can mentor peers and elevate reporting standards nationwide.
