Summary: Supports a national resource center to expand and sustain evidence-based falls prevention programs for older adults and adults with disabilities across the U.S.
This opportunity will fund a single organization to serve as the National Falls Prevention Resource Center through a cooperative agreement with the Administration for Community Living (ACL). The Center acts as the primary technical assistance, education, and resource hub for the national aging network, supporting both discretionary and formula-funded falls prevention grantees. Its purpose is to increase the reach and quality of evidence-based falls prevention programs for older adults and adults with disabilities, promote best practices, facilitate data collection and reporting, and foster partnerships that advance the field and ensure sustainability. The Center also leads national awareness campaigns and innovation forums to disseminate knowledge, strengthen program fidelity, and support the goals of the Older Americans Act.
