Summary: Supports ongoing bio-behavioral surveillance among populations disproportionately affected by HIV to inform and improve prevention programs.
This funding opportunity supports ongoing bio-behavioral surveillance among populations disproportionately affected by HIV in the United States. The program focuses on collecting and analyzing data regarding behavioral risk factors (such as sexual behaviors and drug use), HIV testing behaviors, use of prevention strategies (e.g., condoms, PrEP), and receipt of prevention services. All participants will be offered HIV testing and linked to appropriate prevention or care services as needed. Data generated from this surveillance will be used to evaluate and guide both local and national HIV prevention programs, assess trends in risk behaviors, and identify gaps in the provision or access to HIV prevention services. The findings are intended to inform tailored testing, response, treatment, and other prevention efforts.
