Description
This opportunity funds up to 17 National Resource Centers to advance the prevention of and response to family, domestic, dating, and sexual violence in the United States. Grantees will provide resource information, training, and technical assistance at a national scope to individuals, organizations, government agencies, and communities. The program covers a range of priority areas, including domestic violence, services for Indian, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian communities, special issue centers (e.g., justice, health, mental health, child welfare, culturally specific populations), and sexual assault technical assistance.
Projects are expected to:
- Build organizational and field capacity through evidence-based and culturally relevant resources.
- Disseminate information and best practices, including through national resource libraries.
- Deliver training and technical assistance to service providers, coalitions, and governmental entities.
- Address emerging issues (e.g., technology-facilitated abuse, homelessness, foster care, intersectional needs).
- Collaborate with other OFVPS-funded centers and networks.
A cooperative agreement structure ensures substantial involvement from the Office of Family Violence Prevention and Services (OFVPS) throughout the project.
