Description
UN Women is seeking proposals from eligible non-profit organizations to conduct a comprehensive national study documenting the political experiences of women candidates—including discrimination and violence—during Nepal's 2026 House of Representatives election. The study aims to generate robust evidence to inform future policy, advocacy, and programmatic efforts to strengthen gender equality and create safer, more inclusive political participation for women in Nepal. The research will cover all 2,160 women candidates (388 First-Past-the-Post and 1,772 Proportional Representation) and will examine various forms of violence, barriers to participation, and the broader context of women's political engagement.
