Description
This funding opportunity from the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health (OASH), Office of Population Affairs (OPA), seeks applications to establish and operate a National Training Center (NTC) for Teen Pregnancy Prevention (TPP). The NTC will provide comprehensive training and technical assistance (TTA) to all OPA-funded TPP program recipients, as well as their sub-recipients and partners. The center’s mission is to build capacity for delivering high-quality, evidence-based, and medically accurate TPP programs, ultimately supporting the reduction of teen pregnancy and promoting adolescent health.
The NTC will be responsible for:
- Implementing an effective TTA plan to increase grantees’ knowledge, skills, and program outcomes.
- Providing guidance on adolescent health literacy, informed consent, reproductive goals counseling, parental engagement, and sexual risk avoidance education.
- Raising awareness and increasing utilization of NTC resources among TPP grant recipients.
- Engaging stakeholders to ensure TTA aligns with OASH priorities and meets grantee needs.
- Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of TTA activities to ensure continuous improvement.
All activities must comply with statutory requirements and align with the Priorities of the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health.
