This program funds the creation and operation of Native American Research Centers for Health (NARCH), supporting health-related research, research career enhancement, and research infrastructure enhancement activities. The initiative is designed to empower federally-recognized American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) Tribes, Tribal colleges/universities, Tribal health programs, and Tribal organizations to lead research that addresses health priorities in their communities. NARCH awards are multi-component, requiring an Administrative Core and at least one additional component (Research Project, Pilot Project Program, Career Enhancement Project, or Research Infrastructure Enhancement Project).
