    Description

    The Native Artist Fellows program, administered by the Indian Arts Research Center at the School for Advanced Research (SAR), annually awards three non-residential fellowships to support the creative growth of Native American, First Nations, and Indigenous artists from North America and its territories. Each fellowship provides $15,000 to encourage exploration of new creative directions, engagement with innovative ideas, and refinement of artistic skills. The program welcomes artists working in a wide range of disciplines, including sculpture, performance, basketry, painting, printmaking, digital art, mixed media, photography, pottery, writing, and film/video. The fellowships are designed to foster artistic growth and cultural expression, and include opportunities for public presentation and engagement with the SAR community.
