--- ## Description This grant aims to accelerate the adoption of advanced, modular, and hybrid propulsion and DC power systems for military naval vessels by leveraging cutting-edge commercial technologies. The focus is on integrating electric propulsion, SiC-based power electronics, DC architectures, fuel cells, advanced energy storage (Li-ion batteries, super-capacitors, flywheels), and AI-based controllers. Projects should address both peacetime and wartime operational requirements, targeting increased energy efficiency, reduced emissions, minimized military signatures (noise, infrared, electromagnetic, radar), and enhanced system resilience and autonomy. Activities must cover research studies and design work, including digital-physical test environments, system integration, and benchmarking against established military requirements.
