The NBDF-Sanofi Career Development Award is designed to foster the careers of established investigators (preferably assistant professor level or above) committed to advancing research in bleeding disorders. The award prioritizes innovative projects that develop novel technologies, therapies, or scientific understanding in areas such as gene therapy, hematopoietic/liver/stem cell research for gene transfer in hemophilia, inhibitor development, clotting factor protein structure, improved protein delivery systems, and functional assays. Proposals are rigorously peer reviewed, with emphasis on scientific merit, innovation, investigator qualifications, and institutional environment.
