--- ## Description This challenge invited U.S. graduate students (masters or doctoral level) to develop static or interactive data visualizations that address social determinants of health (SDOH) using at least one publicly-available dataset from the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) and at least one external dataset. The goal was to communicate important public health issues visually and narratively, making complex data accessible to audiences such as policymakers, researchers, community organizations, and the public. Submissions were expected to clearly illustrate the impact and significance of a selected public health issue and highlight new insights provided by the visualization. --- ## Due Dates - November 15, 2021: Full application deadline (all application materials due by 5:00 PM ET) *Note: The challenge is no longer open.
