The NCKRI National Seed Grant Program, administered by the National Cave and Karst Research Institute, aims to support innovative, early-stage research in cave and karst science at academic and research institutions in the United States. The program encourages the initiation of new research directions, fosters the entry of new scientists into the field, and addresses both scientific and management needs relevant to cave and karst resources. Projects with clear scientific merit, strong relevance to cave and karst science, and alignment with National Park Service (NPS) priorities are especially encouraged. Awardees are expected to provide conceptual summaries, figures for public dissemination, and final reports detailing results and outputs.
