The NCORP Pilot Grant Program, administered by the Hope Foundation for Cancer Research, was designed to foster improved representation of under-resourced and underserved populations in cancer clinical trial accrual. Through a competitive, peer-reviewed process, the program supported projects that established infrastructure or tested interventions aimed at improving access for underrepresented groups, removing structural barriers, and achieving measurable, scalable outcomes across the NCTN/NCORP network. Projects were expected to challenge current paradigms in research or clinical practice, effectively communicate with patients and stakeholders, and demonstrate potential for broader application.
