Supports projects that bring humanities scholarship to the public through exhibitions and historic site interpretations focused on major themes in American history and culture.

--- ## Description The National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) Public Humanities Projects program funds projects that engage general audiences with humanities scholarship through in-person exhibitions and interpretive programming at historic sites. Projects must address one of the following focus areas: American Military History and Valor, The American Dream and Economic Freedom, America’s Role on a Global Scale, or the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence (the Semiquincentennial). Supported activities include the planning or implementation of: - Permanent, temporary, or traveling exhibitions - Long-term interpretive programs at historic places (e.g., living history, guided tours, public programs) Projects should be grounded in sound humanities scholarship, involve external humanities scholars, and aim to reach broad or clearly defined public audiences.
