Description
The NERC-Innovate UK ICURe Engage programme is a four-week, part-time initiative designed for researchers, technicians, and students who have previously received funding from the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) or have been affiliated with NERC-funded programmes. Delivered in partnership with SETsquared, this programme introduces participants to commercialisation tools, entrepreneurial thinking, and the process of identifying potential beneficiaries and users of academic research. The focus is on exploring the commercial potential and societal impact of NERC-funded research, particularly in the context of climate adaptation and resilience. The programme involves an online bootcamp and weekly sessions, aiming to bridge the gap between academic research and real-world application.
