This forecasted opportunity supports the establishment and operation of Regional Medical Libraries (RMLs) within the Network of the National Library of Medicine (NNLM). The NNLM advances access to health information and data, professional development for librarians and information specialists, and outreach through libraries and community organizations. RMLs play a key role in disseminating research findings, fostering community engagement, supporting participation in local clinical research, and increasing awareness and use of NIH-supported resources. RMLs are expected to build strong partnerships, have expertise in biomedical information and data sciences, and be institutionally connected with a health science library. This announcement only pertains to RMLs; separate opportunities for the Network Coordinating Center and Network Training Center are expected.
