Description
This funding opportunity, delivered by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) under UK Research and Innovation (UKRI), supports the creation of a single, interdisciplinary NetworkPlus focused on advancing property flood resilience (PFR) in the UK. The initiative directly responds to recommendations from the FloodReady review and aims to address the research and innovation challenges necessary for increased adoption and uptake of PFR measures. The NetworkPlus will bring together researchers from engineering, environmental science, social science, and related disciplines, as well as non-academic stakeholders such as industry, government, and community groups. Key objectives include building research and innovation capability, developing a collaborative research roadmap, supporting knowledge exchange, and facilitating the development of best practice guidelines and testbeds for PFR.
