This program, administered by NYSERDA, supports the development and installation of Direct Current Fast Charging (DCFC) Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) at strategic locations throughout New York State. The initiative leverages federal National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) funding to expand the EV charging network along designated Alternative Fuel Corridors (AFCs) and in underserved community locations. There are two funding tracks: the AFC Track (sites along AFCs) and the Community Track (sites in communities outside AFCs, contingent on federal certification). The program aims to accelerate EV adoption, improve access in underserved regions, and advance state decarbonization goals.
