This opportunity supports the establishment of up to two new research centres under the PETROSENTER scheme, aiming to drive long-term, high-impact research and innovation in the petroleum sector. Centres will address critical challenges for sustainable and efficient utilisation of petroleum resources on the Norwegian continental shelf, including reducing greenhouse gas emissions, improving subsurface understanding, advancing drilling and well management, optimizing production and transport, and enhancing safety and working environments. The initiative is designed to strengthen research capacity, foster interdisciplinary and international collaboration, and promote value creation and societal benefit through cutting-edge knowledge and technology development.
