Description
This grant supports research and development projects that deliver easy-to-use, portable, and secure cloud services, emphasizing service portability and personal freedom. The initiative is based on the NixOS Linux distribution and Nix package manager, aiming to simplify the deployment and maintenance of internet-based services—including Fediverse platforms (PeerTube, Mastodon, Owncast, Lemmy) and traditional services (email, VPN, cloud storage, wikis).
