Summary: Supports investigator-initiated, multi-project research programs in infectious and immune-mediated diseases relevant to NIAID’s mission.
This opportunity invites applications for investigator-initiated Program Project (P01) grants focused on scientific areas central to the mission of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID). Supported research should address topics such as the biology and pathogenesis of infectious microbes (including HIV), host-microbe interactions, immune system development and function, immune dysfunction (allergy, asthma, autoimmunity, immunodeficiency, transplant rejection), and translational research to develop vaccines, therapeutics, and diagnostics for infectious and immune-mediated diseases.
