Description
This opportunity provides access to non-renewable biological samples (such as tissue, cells, serum, plasma, and urine) and associated data from the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) Central Repository. The program is designed to support research that leverages these unique resources to advance understanding and treatment of diabetes, digestive, kidney, and related diseases. No direct funding is provided; instead, successful applicants receive access to requested samples and data for their research projects.
The NIDDK Central Repository contains biospecimens and data from numerous major clinical studies, including but not limited to the Chronic Renal Insufficiency Cohort (CRIC), Drug-Induced Liver Injury Network (DILIN), Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP), and DCCT/EDIC studies. Researchers can use these resources to validate hypotheses, develop biomarkers, and explore new research avenues.
