    Description

This opportunity aims to broaden the impact of the NIH BRAIN Initiative by supporting resource-limited institutions (RLIs) in adopting and integrating well-validated BRAIN Initiative resources and technologies. The program funds collaborative partnerships between investigators at RLIs and BRAIN technology disseminators (e.g., inventors, resource managers) to facilitate two-way knowledge transfer, training, and the sustained use of BRAIN Initiative tools in new research environments.

    The program is designed to:

    • Accelerate the scientific impact and adoption of BRAIN Initiative resources at institutions that have not been major NIH funding recipients.
    • Foster collaborations that enable RLIs to expand research capabilities and address research questions that would not be feasible without these resources.
    • Support activities such as pilot studies, feasibility/validity testing, and innovative training or dissemination efforts that lay the groundwork for future research.

Clinical trials are not permitted under this funding opportunity.
