Summary: Supports competing renewals or competitive revisions of ongoing NIDCR-funded clinical trials in dental, oral, or craniofacial research.
Key Information: Only for ongoing NIDCR-supported clinical trials; clinical trial required; strong justification needed for extensions or scope changes.
This opportunity provides funding for the continuation (competing renewal) or revision (competitive revision) of ongoing clinical trials supported by the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR). The program is designed to allow additional time to complete a trial, extend follow-up for long-term outcomes, or modify the scope of an existing NIDCR-funded clinical trial when justified by compelling scientific or operational needs.
The mechanism is a UH3 Cooperative Agreement, which means NIDCR staff will be substantially involved in the scientific and operational aspects of the award.
