    Description

This opportunity allows current NIH award recipients to apply for additional funding to expand the scope of their existing single project research grants or cooperative agreements. These "competing revisions" (formerly known as competitive supplements) are intended to support new research aims or activities that build upon the parent award, in alignment with priorities outlined in a Notice of Special Interest (NOSI) published by an NIH Institute, Center, or Office (ICO). Both clinical trial and non-clinical trial projects are eligible, depending on the NOSI.

Applications must be directly responsive to a published NOSI referencing this funding announcement. The parent award must have at least two years remaining in its project period at the time of application.
