Description
This opportunity provides institutional grants to eligible U.S. organizations to develop and/or enhance predoctoral and postdoctoral research training programs in biomedical, behavioral, and clinical sciences. The goal is to ensure a diverse and highly trained workforce capable of advancing the nation's health-related research agenda. Programs must offer rigorous, mentored research experiences, didactic training, and career development activities that prepare trainees for impactful careers across the biomedical research enterprise.
Programs may include short-term research training, but those proposing only short-term predoctoral training should apply to the separate T35 mechanism. Trainees may not lead independent clinical trials but can gain experience in clinical trials under the supervision of a mentor.
