Description
This funding opportunity supports groundbreaking, interdisciplinary research that has the potential to lay the foundation for new fields of investigation within the mission of the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK). The program is designed to foster the development of research resources, novel technologies, and discovery-based or hypothesis-generating science that can significantly impact the broader scientific community. Projects should address specific knowledge gaps, scientific opportunities, new technologies, data generation, or research methods to advance understanding, treatment, and prevention of diseases relevant to NIDDK, including diabetes, digestive, endocrine, hematologic, liver, metabolic, nephrologic, nutrition, obesity, and urologic diseases.
