Key Information: This is a forecasted opportunity; applications are not yet being solicited.
The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), in collaboration with other NIH Institutes, will issue a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) to support research that accelerates the translation of addiction epidemiology, prevention, treatment, and recovery findings into routine practice. The initiative aims to address the opioid crisis and reduce overdose deaths by focusing on malleable factors and barriers at the individual, provider, organizational, community, or system levels. Projects should explore and develop effective, scalable approaches to move evidence-based interventions into widespread use.
