Description
This opportunity funds research and evaluation projects aimed at understanding the needs of crime victims and improving the services they receive. Run by the National Institute of Justice (NIJ) in collaboration with the Office for Victims of Crime (OVC), the program supports two main categories:
- Category 1: Research on victims of crime and victim services, including law enforcement-based services and evaluations of other victim service programs.
- Category 2: Research on the extent and effects of technology-facilitated abuse (TFA), such as nonconsensual disclosure of digitally manipulated images ("deepfakes"), with a focus on supporting victims and reducing revictimization.
