Description
This opportunity from the National Institute of Justice (NIJ) is for the continuation of the Criminal Justice Technology Testing and Evaluation Center (CJTTEC). The Center is responsible for testing, evaluating, and supporting the implementation of technologies relevant to criminal and juvenile justice agencies. Its work informs NIJ’s research and development efforts and provides valuable resources to practitioners, policymakers, researchers, and industry. Key activities include:
- Conducting secondary research on current and emerging technologies.
- Performing experimental and quasi-experimental testing and evaluation to inform technology adoption.
- Evaluating technology implementation by justice agencies.
- Administering the NIJ Compliance Testing Program (CTP).
- Supporting the development, validation, and maintenance of criminal justice equipment standards.
The Center’s deliverables include technical reports, scholarly publications, data archiving, progress reports, and resources for the NIJ CTP.
