Description
This funding opportunity seeks proposals for rigorous, applied evaluative research projects focused on policing practices. The National Institute of Justice (NIJ) is interested in studies that address one or more of the following areas:
- Evaluation of existing police training programs
- Research on officer safety and health
- Evaluation of criminal investigation practices
- Assessment of policing strategies and tactics
The goal is to generate evidence that can inform policy and practice in law enforcement, ultimately improving the effectiveness, safety, and fairness of policing in the United States.
