--- ## Description This program seeks applications for research and evaluation projects addressing violence against women (VAW), including domestic violence (DV), family violence (FV), intimate partner violence (IPV), rape, sex trafficking, sexual violence (SV), stalking, and teen dating violence (TDV)/adolescent relationship abuse (ARA). The National Institute of Justice (NIJ) aims to fund studies that expand understanding of the causes, consequences, prevention, and intervention of these crimes, as well as the trauma resulting from them and the criminal justice system's responses. Priority is also given to high-quality evaluations of programs, practices, models, or interventions that aim to: - Enhance engagement with the justice system for victimized women and girls. - Improve accountability within the criminal justice system for individuals who perpetrate violence against women and girls.
