Description
This opportunity from the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) supports research education programs (UE5 mechanism) for residents and fellows in neurological disorders and stroke. The overarching goal is to enhance the training of physician-scientists by providing intensive, mentored research experiences and career development activities. Programs are designed to prepare clinicians to successfully compete for NIH mentored career development awards (e.g., K08, K23) or independent research awards, and to foster the retention of a cadre of physician-scientists in neuroscience research.
