Description
This postdoctoral fellowship opportunity at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) focuses on advancing public key cryptography to meet emerging challenges. The research aims to address two critical needs:
- Development and analysis of cryptographic schemes resistant to quantum computing attacks, known as post-quantum or quantum-safe cryptography. This includes lattice-based, coding-based, multivariate, and isogeny-based cryptographic schemes.
- Creation and evaluation of cryptographic protocols with enhanced privacy features to secure digital transactions increasingly conducted over the Internet.
Research areas include practical deployment impacts of these schemes on existing network and application security protocols, and the design of privacy-protecting protocols for applications such as e-government, cloud computing, data sharing, e-commerce, and trusted platform attestation.
