Description
The New Jersey Commission on Brain Injury Research funds Individual Research Grants through the New Jersey Department of Health. The program supports research with promise to develop effective interventions and cures for disabilities associated with traumatic brain injury. It seeks to advance neural protection, repair and regeneration; test clinical interventions; and help investigators develop pilot data for future research funding.
The Commission encourages innovative, interdisciplinary work and collaboration among brain injury researchers. Its priorities span basic and translational studies, rehabilitation and other clinical interventions, and epidemiological analysis of New Jersey Traumatic Brain Injury Registry data. Awards are intended to build research capabilities rather than provide long-term support.
