The Alabama Rural Health Transformation Program (ARHTP), administered by the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs (ADECA), is a large-scale, federally supported initiative to improve healthcare delivery, access, and outcomes in rural communities across Alabama. Through a series of competitive funding opportunities (NOFOs) and technical assistance workshops, ARHTP supports projects that modernize rural health infrastructure, expand the healthcare workforce, enhance mental health and primary care services, improve IT and cybersecurity, and foster sustainable, community-centered health system transformation.
