Description
The Wyoming State Trails Program administers this one-time competitive grant, established by the Wyoming Legislature for the 2026–2028 biennium and funded through the Wyoming Office of Tourism. It supports shovel-ready work that increases natural-surface, non-motorized recreation opportunities on publicly accessible lands in Wyoming.
Eligible work includes new trail construction, maintenance and rehabilitation of existing trails, and trail-supporting infrastructure such as trailheads, bridges, restrooms, kiosks, and bike stations. New construction receives additional priority in project evaluation. The program funds construction and improvement rather than planning.
