Key Information: Nominees must be ABOG Diplomates or Active Candidates, non-tenured faculty, and within five years of initial faculty appointment.
This two-year fellowship supports early-career scholars in obstetrics and gynecology by providing an opportunity to participate in the health and medicine-related work of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine. Fellows remain at their primary academic institution and dedicate 10–20% of their time to the fellowship, which includes assignments to one of several health-related boards, attendance at orientation and annual meetings, and active participation in committee or roundtable work. Each fellow is paired with a senior mentor from the National Academy of Medicine and receives exposure to a diverse range of health policy leaders and experts. The program is designed to foster leadership and professional development at the intersection of medicine and public health.
