This grant funds the continued operation and development of the Norwegian Centre for Research at CERN (NorCC), a collaborative initiative enabling Norwegian research organisations to participate in nuclear and particle physics experiments at CERN. NorCC acts as a unifying entity for Norwegian research at CERN, ensuring sustained involvement in experiment development, operation, and maintenance. The centre also supports a Norwegian Industry Liaison Officer, facilitates participation in CERN recruitment programs, and promotes STEM engagement in Norway through student programs, outreach, and travel support. The centre is expected to foster knowledge transfer to other research communities and Norwegian enterprises, strengthen Norway’s returns from CERN, and contribute to broader impacts of research and technology developed at CERN.
