The Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD), part of the National Institutes of Health, is planning the Novel Experiential Technologies Assisting Individual Learning (NExT AI) Hubs initiative. This Centers program aims to fund highly innovative, high-risk research addressing understudied topics on how artificial intelligence (AI) technologies affect developmental outcomes in children who are at risk for, or have been diagnosed with, specific learning disabilities (SLD) in reading, writing, and mathematics. The initiative seeks to advance understanding and intervention strategies for these populations through the use of novel experiential technologies and AI.
