This program aims to bolster the nursing workforce by supporting projects that develop and implement innovative educational and clinical training opportunities, with a particular focus on rural and medically underserved communities. The initiative addresses the ongoing nursing shortage by expanding pathways into nursing, enhancing competency-based curricula, strengthening academic–clinical partnerships, and increasing experiential learning through simulation technology. Awardees are expected to prepare undergraduate nursing students to provide high-quality patient care in both traditional and nontraditional community-based settings.
