The Colorado Parks and Wildlife Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) Program funds projects that improve and enhance motorized recreation opportunities across Colorado. Supported by OHV registration fees and federal Recreational Trails Program (RTP) funds, the program aims to promote safe, responsible, and sustainable OHV use on public lands. Eligible projects include OHV education and safety initiatives, land acquisition, trail restoration, route construction and planning, trailhead development, and the installation of support facilities such as parking areas and restrooms. The program offers both Competitive and Good Management grants to support a broad range of activities that maintain, improve, and expand OHV recreation infrastructure.
