Description
The Ohio Department of Health’s Rural EMS and Dispatch Modernization Project supports improvements to emergency medical services (EMS), public safety communications, and emergency dispatch capabilities in rural communities. It brings these connected parts of emergency response together in a single modernization effort.
The project focuses on the services and systems rural communities use to respond to emergencies, from the initial call through the coordination of EMS and dispatch. Its goal is to strengthen those capabilities as part of the Rural Health Transformation Program.
