    Description

The Ohio Department of Behavioral Health (DBH), Office of Community Services, Bureau of Recovery Supports – Peer Services, offers this opportunity through RFA #119: DBH-FY27 Recovery Supports. It funds implementation and capacity building for new peer-run organizations (PROs) using the International Clubhouse Model in any Ohio county. Clubhouses provide peer-led, community-based, non-clinical support for people with mental health conditions, substance use disorders, or co-occurring disorders and their families.

Supported work includes peer staffing, organizational systems, welcoming physical spaces, partnerships, outreach, and programming such as recovery workshops, wellness education, mentoring, support groups, and social activities. The initiative seeks to reduce isolation, strengthen wellness and community connection, and lessen reliance on inpatient hospitals and correctional facilities. Organizations must demonstrate a recovery vision, authentic lived-experience voice, and accountability to the recovery community.
